Now that the price has been reduced, so it works out at a little over a fiver per film, this is great value. Something that hasn't been mentioned in the other reviews is that as well as including the 2009 new audio commentary and extra. The bluray also include the commentaries and extras from the previous 2-disc DVD sets (with the exception of the text commentaries). OK only Wrath of Kahn has received a full restoration but Search For Spock and Voyage Home look and sound better than ever. Personally I've gone for this bluray box for these 3 films and got the 2009 DVD collection for all the other films as I do suspect that Paramount will eventually fully restore them all for bluray

I don't understand the other reviews, this boxset perfectly takes the "good" trek films and conveniently pretends the other terrible ones didn't happen. All for a very competitive price, whats the point in shelling out over £100 buying all the trek films when the only ones that stand up to repeated viewings is 2, 3, 4 and 6!!
This deffinately gets my vote.

Frontier of the Future,

A truly heart warming saga that would turn most trekkie fans to tears. From Spok's death at the end of "The Wrath of Khan" to his rebirth and making his reconnection with Kirk in "The Search for Spok" and the team re-population 23rd centuary earth with humpbacked whales in "The Voyage Home." This trilogy is the must have on the itinnery of any Star Trek fan and a definitely a must see for the passing enthusiast. The graphics for their time have been remastered fantastically in this DVD set.
This is a great set of family movies for any sci-fi fan and makes for good entertainment even if you aren't a particular fan, though "The Wrath of Khan" movie may need you to have a familiarity with the plot of season 1 of Star Trek: The Original Series.
