4.0 out of 5 stars Region Free - no digital copy in the UK 6 Sep 2013
By Big Al
Format:Blu-ray|Verified Purchase
This Bluray is region free and works on my player, good sound, fantastic picture quality and the full 2 parts in one! The packaging offers a download version and the box contains a code to download this - but it only works in the USA sadly!

Format:Blu-ray
Ordered a copy of this frankly decent attempt at matching the previous years cliff-hanger Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Best of Both Worlds [Blu-ray] [1990] [Region Free], TNG's fourth season closer and fifth season opener gave Worf a chance to have a Shock Exit as he gives up his Starfleet commission to help the Klingon's leader Gowron, defend his honour and his council status from Lursa and Be'Tor, the sisters of Duras.
But little do either the Federation or the Klingon Empire know is that the Duras family are being backed by a Romulan faction lead by a mysterious women with a link the Enterprise crews past...

'Star Trek: The Next Generation' had a habit after TBOBW, to make event TV for the end of a season and while not having the same punch as 'The Best of Both Worlds', 'Redemption' more than makes up for that with awesome visuals, an intriguing story, and a gut wrenching blow for Picard and his Crew, one that would plague them for the remainder of the shows Run.

With an impressive new HD transfer and the intriguing 30-minute documentary: 'Survive and Succeed: An Empire at War', along with (again) classic TV Promos for the story, 'Redemption' may not be the best remembered TNG 2-Parter, but it certainly is the most emotionally charged, action-packed adventure to be produced for this much loved warrior race.

Qapla'!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 9 July 2014
By Cambria
Format:Blu-ray
First of all it is region free so will play on uk blue ray players
Like best of both worlds it's movie length and there is no 45 minute
Break The quality of sound and picture is superb . There is one
Extra and 2 promos and a commentary . I can assume and hope
That all double plot episodes will be released. I know unification has been
Released one minor complaint and that is that the picture
Is in pan scan mode meaning there are black edges side ways. This
Can by rectified by using the zoom mode apart from that great
