Product Description

A new Federation President has been elected, and his first order of business is to attempt to restore the alliance with the Klingon Empire. To that end, he sends Captain Picard to Deep Space 9, in the hopes that Picard's relationship with Chancellor Gowron might lead to a normalization of relations.

At first, things go well, as Gowron agrees to meet with Picard and Captain Sisko of DS9 on a neutral planet -- but when their runabout is shot down, it's up to Commanders Worf and Data to find out the truth before their captains are killed!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great DS9/TNG crossover 22 Feb 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Sisko and Picard are assigned to negotiate with Gowron but their runabout is shot down and the two have to work together to survive. This eBook explains why Sisko wasn't in Star Trek: First Contact.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great read 13 Oct 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a great read, except for the fact every few words run into each other.
So u may get sentences like - TheEnterprise went to warp. Kinda gets annoying after awhile.
Other than that, a great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read 26 Dec 2012

The writer does a fantastic job of the interpersonal relationships and thoughts of each character. It's something most writers don't do well. I have purchased over 100 Star Trek books, know every episode of every series, and I will say that this book is in the top 3 I have ever read. The interaction between Sisko and Picard is incredible. It's timeline is accurate and I was unable to find any mistakes in ST genre. A great read. I am now looking for all of the writer's other books.
4.0 out of 5 stars good but felt rushed 26 July 2013

DeCandido has proven himself to be a fine storyteller. His characterizations are believable and the story moves quickly without uncomfortable pauses. While I have gotten used to greater detail & non-existent typos in the Trek books I have read, the few glitches with spelling & typeset in the Kindle version--while annoying--do not impugn the author's integrity. Good read.

Was done in half the time I usually take to read a book. Kept me wanting more. Going to read the series.
1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible 9 Oct 2012

I have certain expectations when reading a Star Trek book. This one didn't even come close to meeting any of them. A complete waste of time.
