My daughter enjoyed this. She is a big fan of books that aren't about dating and kissing, so finding pre-teen lit to please her isn't actually very easy, as many authors seem to think that 12 year old girls are genuinely obsessed with make up and boys. This book seems to have struck the right note with my daughter and she is considering reading more by the same author - in her words it was 'quite a fun read' - trust me, this is praise indeed.
