Alot of people think its cheating to buy books like this. I beg to differ. As a vetron Final fantasy player and RPG gamer, the Star Ocean series is amongst the top five RPG games series ever. The guide is beautifully laid out. Information on monsters, maps of the areas you visit and a general guide to the game. This book helps you with the game immensly. As the game is so vast, guides like this only guide you to what you do, they don't tell you everything step by step, because frankly whats the point playing if every step your character does is described on how you should do it!! Another point is, if you look at how much Star Ocean 2 is being sold for now (between £60-150) at the moment, this guide will also add value should you ever want to sell the game (as a last resort!!!) in the near future. If you have bought the game, buy the book, you wont regret it!!

Lets face it its a strategy guide.
It gives you all the usual hints, clues and obscure info you would never find. BUT the presentation is good, clear maps and displays do make progress easy. And in a game like Star Ocean 3 lets face it you'll need one of these to get all the possible endings and create the uber weapons we all desire.
Go on Give in to the dark side and get this, and never be stuck again!
