I bought this book for my son who is almost 6 and a lot into Star Wars. He really likes it. It answers a lot of his questions. Each page is devoted to one character with photos, history and description. It is very nicely illustrated and it includes "everybody" as he says! I can only say I wish I had this book when I was his age.

This was purchased as a birthday present for a 7-year old grandson and was a real hit not only with him but also his brothers and his father! However,I now know far more "interesting facts" than I need to about Star Wars characters as he is keen to share. The real bonus from my point of view is that he has read and re-read it with relish. Even though he has needed help with some of the vocabulary it has not put him off. Everything a good reference book should be.

I certainly haven't yet been able to find a better encyclopedia of star wars characters, but this one is far from perfect.
For one (in my mind very important) thing, there is too much emphasis on the minor characters of the prequels at the expense of some key characters from the original films. For example not all the 6 bounty hunters are featured. No dengar! There's also no weequay or other skiff guards. I expected the book would at least contain all the characters for whom figures were produced.
Secondly, there is too much irrellevant labelling on the photos. Do we really need an arrow identifying a characters utility belt or flying boots?
Don't let this review put you off buying the book - it's just i can't help feeling that with a little more effort it could be improved.

Nice book for children
I bought it for my boy and he likes it very much. He is a big fans of Star Ways and he can even know the name of each charactor. The book is in very good quality with hard cover.
