I wanted to like this album a lot. I have enjoyed all the other Stanton Warriors albums and I didn't see that this would be an exception.

Unfortunately, I only like 50% of what it has to offer.

Some of the tracks have so little substance that it almost sounds like constant fizzing. Combine this with a a number of sounds we have heard before...I will be more cautious with future releases.

Stanton Warriors are a complete package - they're technically flawless and craft mixes that both captivate & entertain.

This starts heavy and you're locked in after the neat slice from Club Action into Shifting Gears. From here it's a full throttle ride through some of the Warrior's latest (and phenomenally high-quality) new material plus some neat breakbeat (or 'bonus beat') re-works of current underground favourites ('Oh' by Boys Noize, 'Nifty' by Nifty (Basement Jaxx), Frankie Valli, Alan Braxe & Chemical Brothers).

But all these gems could fall apart if it wasn't the Stanton's in control of the show - the whole 74 minutes feels so assured and polished. In short, this continues the impressive discography which further proves that as DJs and producers, Stanton Warriors lead the field.

PS: If you're really keen, search out the Stanton Sessions Vol 3 promo mix - it features a couple of the same tracks but also some breathtakingly raw bass: phew!

The Stanton Warriors have been producing excellent mix-CD's for years, featuring cutting-edge tracks from themselves and other pioneering artists in the Breaks arena (seemingly) mixed effortlessly together, leaving me always wanting one more listen.

In fact, so consistently brilliant are their latest mixes that I bought this without even listening to a single track, safe in the knowledge that it would be a treat once received.

First listen: loved it! =D
It has that almost trademark Stanton Warriors bouncing hip-hop beat propelling along a variety of vocal talents, lightly dusted with dirty baselines, old-Skool drum-loops and electro riffs.

To be brutal, track 6 isn't so much blended as inserted (shame, as it's excellent), the middle of the mix lacks the excitement both sides of it, and includes track 11's Dr. Oizo style monotonous looping baseline, which grates almost immediately!
Rejoice that it finishes very strong!!! B-D

You owe it to your ear-drums to listen to this!
Thank you again Stanton Warriors B-)

I love everything by these guys and this album is no different. Great beats, colorful sampling, and a nice range of material. All with the distinctive Stanton Warriors flavor.

doing what the stanton guys do best. rock the house! or rock the funky, bassbeat rhythms! this episode of the stanton sessions is a bit heavier on the booty flavor, but super rockin nonetheless. appearaces by Dizzee Rascal, and David Byrne, Yo Majesty, the Plump DJs, and more. put this on to groove and dance.

The first is always the best... 17 Oct 2012

Just like most movies and albums, the original is the best one. That applies to this one as well since I ordered The Warriors (Best), Stanton Sessions (Fair), and this one Stanton Sessions III (Okay). I suggest you listen to the tracks on YouTube and make sure you like the versions of the songs before purchasing. Some songs on here have a remix that isn't as good as what I have heard online.

It's still an okay album but I probably wouldn't have purchased it if I listened to the whole thing beforehand. I was basing the purchase off the original "The Warriors" album.
