A solid selection of classic breaks. This mix was where they really nailed the sound for which they are so beloved today. Still sounds fresh six years on.

The Stantons never fail to gobsmack me - extraordinarily talented pair who you wouldn't cast a 2nd glance on a bus, but put them at the healm of a mixing desk, and boy, you sure notice them then. These two demon deck devils have surpassed the excellence that was Vol 1, and caused me to get two speeding tickets in a week. ("I'm sorry officer, it was the Warriors that made me do it....") This is the dirtiest, filthiest, most inventive, most definitely grown-up house music for scaring small children with. Shake It Up is bizarre and mesmerising; Disco Infiltrator is similarly mind-blowing; I Get Live also incredibly unique and memorable, Still Here is haunting and Hope Time makes me dance so hard I worry about my blood pressure. Oh how I wish the Stantons would produce more than they do. Although perhaps a few years recuperation time between volumes is best for the health of the nation because this IS the dirtiest house music around and takes no prisoners.

Boring
This album has the same bpm all the way through and there are no dynamics in the sound, its just loud. Don't you just love multiband compressors? Read more
