Theres not normally much interesting going on with a spirit level, but the Fat Max version's design does it all right.
The I - section is easy to hold, well balanced, accurate and the additions of the rubber ends is a superb bonus that stops it falling when you stand it on end and also provide some protection if you drop it.
As with all spirit levels it would have been nice to see an option for calibration of the bubbles - but I guess I'm being greedy - and few modern levels actually have this!
I use the level a lot for site surveys in combination with a Fat Max tape and Leica laser measure, I carry it on the train and tube without problem, and feels professional on site.
If you can get it under £20 it is an excellent by but not so good up the £40 price range.
PROS:
Feels professional and solid,
Easy to hold,
Accurate,
clear viewing bubbles,
rubber lined slots & ends.
CONS:
Fairly weightly,
Graphics a bit loud.
No calibration.
Standard RRP quite expensive.
Not quite tough enough for tradesmen.
