It features an easy-to-read LCD screen that will also locate wood and metal studs, beams and joists. This Stanley 077255 laser has multi read depths of 12, 25 and 38 mm and a press button to select the appropriate material thickness. An automatic shut-off allows for a longer battery life.
Requires a 9 volt battery (not included).

Had been meaning to get a stud sensor for years. Purchased this one as it caters for varying wall thicknesses and also detects live cables.
I've tried both the stud sensor and cable detector and they work perfectly. It is very easy to use and fits well in either hand. The quality of construction is very good as you would expect from Stanley.

Have been meaning to get one of these for years and now I have got one diy is so much easier, as well as the peace of mind when drilling walls etc. Very pleased with the service and the product.
