Perfect for students! 23 Sep 2010

My son has recently started his AS Drama course at College and is currently studying Stanislavski. I got this book for him and he loves it. The book takes the student through Stanislavski's system and is full of exercises, extension exercises as well as lovely diagrams to help the student understand how they should do each exercise.
My son took the book into show his teacher who ordered a copy straight away! Years ago I was at Drama School and looking back I wish I had a book like this to use whilst I was training to be an actor.

I went to drama school and now teach BTEC and found this book really useful for teaching Stan. It is very clear and easy to use. It is great you can teach and entire scheme of work based on the contents - Brilliant I am looking forward to one on Brecht please!

As a 2nd year drama student, I felt I had read enough on Stanislavski, but have been very impressed by the simply laid easy to follow straight forward exercises and diagrams. Could do with an equivalent book on a few other practitioners such as Brecht.

Definitely recommend this.
