I liked the first album a lot, and had high hopes that there would be more along similar lines. The new one is here at last, and happily they have done it again, even better than before.
They must have had a lot of fun doing this stuff; the ideas arrive from all angles, the chord charts are full of accidentals, the riffs are groovy, and it swings.
This is arty, slinky, sneaky stuff, and the band make it sound easy. Comparisons? There aren't any simple ones; there are half a century's worth of references in here, but that's not the point; if you want to hear what diverse and interesting sounds three guys can make in a rock format, you won't do better than to start here. And you'll have a blast doing so.

How DO they do it?....and why aren't this band huge?
I discovered their first album through a mates' recommendation. Loved it.
This one is as good if not better than the first. I saw them in Newcastle playing live to barely 150 people. They really cut it live too.
They swing, they groove, they have a hatful of influences but still have have their own soulful/blusey rock n'roll sound which does them credit.

BUY IT.

simply awsome, weve been waiting for this album for a while now, but well worth the wait. improves on even the great we are little barrie. live these boys are it, as long as they remain an underground success these boys will produce quality quality quality music
