Format: Paperback
In a time where the world's population seem to be self-focussed, little gems like this come along. It's a nice story but its main quality is that it is a great book for starting a discussion about being more aware of other people. I am not sure that it goes far enough to explain empathy but it is a good conversation starter.

This is brilliant for small children, explains very well what empathy is and how great it is to pay attention to those around you. Worked miracles with my son!

I loved this book because it included practical situations to which children can relate and it hopefully encourages them to stop and think about how others feel.

Well illustrated and as someone has already mentioned - good for a starting point for discussion.
