A big profit maker 3 Mar 1997
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
To anyone who wants to beat the market and improve their success rate by learning and using Technical Analysis this book is a gauranteed way to get started. Its written in simple terms, has excelent examples and offers advice based on time-proven methods.

Compared to other similar tomes on this subject it uses no math or formulas but relies on actual charts of stocks. The method teaches how to view price, volume and trend data so that stock picks yield winners 60 to 80% of the time and with gains (for me) 2x to 10x!

It also provides lessons on the how to cut losses and how to learn the discipline of selling for maximum profit.

This is a book which can (and must) be reread over and over as one gains expertise at Technical Analysis. The methods learned provide logical procedures which eliminate the hype of the stock market and turns the hype into profits.

Weinstein's motto of the "Tape Tells All" is the foundation
for success because it places stock action as the primary source of information over OPINION.

Mr. weinstein has written a very imformative book chock full of technical knowledge that he's very ably translated into layman's terms. Also, unlike some of the big writers in this field, his advice is totally consistant with no ambiguity and no preening ego. He tries to make a science of charting, eliminating all emotion in the trading process. He stresses discipline with trailing stops etc. All of this leads to a system that still won't let you pick winners more than 50% of the time but WILL get you out of bad picks quickly and let you safely ride the winners up. If you use his system with discipline you will never buy at the very bottom and you'll never sell out at the very top - but you'll make money and you'll NEVER lose your shirt.

THERE IS NO SILVER BULLET IN THE STOCK MARKET BUT THIS BOOK IS THE CLOSEST TO PROVIDING THAT ITEM I HAVE EVER READ. BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN THE IDEAS FLOW OFF THE PAGE AND EVERY CHAPTER IS PURE GOLD. IT IS PACKED WITH THE VERY BEST ADVICE AND IS A MARVELLOUS TEMPLATE FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING TRADING.ALONG WITH "THE ZULU PRINCIPLE" AND CHICK GOSLIN "TRADING DAY BY DAY" THIS WORK MUST RANK AS ESSENTIAL READING FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING INVESTING OR TRADING IN STOCKS.

Good read
Good book about trading using technical charts. The author mainly uses examples of trades that go on for several months minimum so not really for shorter term traders. Read more
