Book Description

10 Mar 2010
Brian McGinnty is a Londoner in his early thirties and has been an avid Star Trek fan since his youth, StarTrek has always been a part of his life, and lately his delusional life. Philip Douglas (Brian's only friend since school) lives down the road with his mum. Their friendship and shared love of StarTrek has led them to believe they’re star fleet officers based here on Earth, as Captain Kirks bodyguards.
Brians errant logic has convinced him that the captain is a ‘victim of abduction and brain washing by the Borg enemy’ and sets out on an international quest save him.

With the help of his friend Phillip and a Russian taxi driver they attempt to find the captain and re-create the ‘amok time fight’ in order to help him remember his true identity is Captain Kirk, not his ridiculous imaginary persona ‘William Shatner’.

Stalking Shatner: The Diary of a Delusional Mind is testament to the courage and convictions of a determined yet delusional individual with a kind heart, which leads to an outcome nobody could have predicted.

Product Description

From the Publisher

When you think about Star Trek ‘Captain Kirk or Spock’ are the first characters that come to mind, you think about adventure, travelling to unknown planets, meeting green women and everything else that is Star Trek.

Stalking Shatner is the hilarious adventure into a delusional man’s mind and the journey he takes, the ultimate fan who’s been shaped by the StarTrek universe. After watching StarTrek when you were growing up didn’t you also want to live on a space ship in the future and go on fantastic adventures?

This book was written by Oliver Gough; He returned to England inspired by his adventures whilst travelling and began writing a feature film, and then the idea for Stalking Shatner came to him, possibly after a few Romulan ales and Klingon drinking songs…

I hope you enjoy this book and following the adventures of a man who’s hell bent on ‘helping’ our beloved Shatner, no matter how much he insists otherwise!

This is a great book, Great Story line - funny and full of adventure - has a good kick to it. I would rate this book 9/10.when I first started the first chapter it immediately kept the story going, they should def make a movie based on the story -will do exceptionally very well.
