I wish I could give more then just 5 stars to these two books. I adored Luck in the Shadows and have found Stalking Darkness to be even better. I applude Flewelling's choice not to stay to the sterotypical characters. The depth and thought she brings to all her characters, not just Seregill and Alec but also the secondary characters as well shows her attatchment to them and that she thought them each out, instead pulling them from a formula pile. The plot moves at a rapid fire pace and not a single word or scene is wasted in the book. Everything ties to either the central plot or the fascinating sub-plots. Both these books are wonderfully refreshing, and powerfully engaging and I already have the third book on reserve at my local bookstore.
