After the painful misfire that was "...goes to Hell", and the utterly unfunny "...sings the Blues", the thing that SSR readers have waited for for years - a *funny book* - has finally arrived. Not up to the real class of the series up to "...gets Drafted", this is still a sparkling job compared to the more recent rat books and the Bill the Galatic Hero moneyspinner , which just should have been taken outside and shot.
The plot, as usual for rat book is pretty irrelevant. A bad guy without a conscience is doing something bad, and a bad guy with a conscience (Jim) is going to stop him, with the aid of ridiculous technology, unflagging good humour, astonishing athletic prowess, and a limitless supply of booze.
Need I say more?
