Do I need to line?
- Legally, only if the chimney is leaking - However - any property built pre-1965 probably has no internal liner at all - Just brick work - this can cause all sorts of problems for todays modern efficient stoves -
Such as: -
Excess condensation, Smoke spillage into room, Insufficient draw,
Erosion of mortar joints leading to gas leaks into bedrooms
- Liners can solve these potential dangerous problems.
Everything you need to line your chimney and connect to your stove pipe.
10m of 316 Grade Stainless Steel 5" Flue Liner (your liner legally needs to be a minimum of 6" in diameter if you are burning wood unless installing a Defra stove).
All in one suspending cowl / Birdguard - This cowl system makes fitting many times easier than the old method as you will not need to disturb your pot - if you have no pot , call us, we have another type of cowl fixing as an alternative.
Nose cone to help guide liner down the chimney
Fire cement tub to seal the joints
Adaptor to join to the stove flue pipe. To complete your stove installation you will probably need a "Register Plate Kit", to blank off the bottom end of your chimney and a length of "Enamel Flue Pipe" to go from the stove into the chimney, so that you don't have to see the liner. If you are unsure about anything we are always happy to talk you through your system on the phone.
PLEASE NOTE: We supply all Chimney Components, Flue Liner, and Full Chimney Kits for anyone WITHOUT A CHIMNEY
