This book not only covers the history of stained glass. It depicts the correct procedures in contemporary and traditional techniques. The illustrations and writing cover everything from the basic techniques to how to apply Grisaille. The section on the Collage style was very informative and exciting. Other sections cover how to effectively etch glass, the procedures required to design and complete a mock stained glass project and many more interesting and informative subjects. This is the book to own for the beginning hobbyist to the advanced stained glass artist.

Nice, clear explanations good pictures. Is a good starting book. I know/doing stained glass for many years and I do find something new to learn from Mari di Spirito. I have another of her books and I am very please with her material.
