The kids love playing music and making up "performances". My 5Y daughter wanted a tambourine for "their band" and this was perfect. I agree it isnt the choice for professional musicians who are looking to record with it, but my kids consider it a professional instrument and it is very sturdy.

Wanted a decent tambourine to use in the church band without being too expensive. It does the job brilliantly, much better sound than the "children's" tamborine we had previously. It's like the top gear- reasonably priced car and it does the job- of course a lot depends on the driver!
