It's a sturdy looking metal thing but it has weak points, these being the plastic fittings. The bracket that the easel part sits in and connects to the stand with is plastic and after only 4 months of light use in the home the bracket has snapped. They should make these out of metal. I don't imagine replacement brackets are going to be easy to source, hence the stand is now useless.
There are so many of these stands available to buy. At a glance they all look the same. Basically you get what you pay for. This one is fine. It's a good price, perhaps not quite as sturdy as the more expensive models, but it has a good foot which does not wobble and it holds some fairly heavy books. Over all I would say good value and I am going to buy some more for my choir.
