Product Description

Product Description

Young or old there's no excuse not to have a go at learning to play the classical guitar! Perfect for beginners, this Stagg 3/4 classical guitar is often the starter instrument recommended by teachers for students wishing to learn any kind of guitar. Having nylon strings rather than metal as found on an acoustic guitar the strings are easier to hold down, particularly by young players. This guitar is 3/4 size so it is ideal for children aged approximately 6-11 although it should be remembered that children's arm reach can vary so care should be taken in selecting the size to suit the player. The guitar is of good quality with geared machine heads which will keep their tuning once any new strings are bedded in and will give hours of fun.

My son bought this with his pocket money. It took us ages to tune it but we found a 'tune your guitar' video on YouTube and because you could hear the sound of the other guitar it meant you had a sound to listen to and tune his guitar with.

A really nice little buy. Did not come with a case so we bought separately. Also did not come with any picks so we bought some of those as well.

A very nice guitar from Normans who posted the guitar well packed and very quickly in time for Christmas. Initial thoughts were that it wouldn't hold it's tuning, however after an hour of stretching and tightening the strings, problem solved and the tone from such a small and brand new guitar is very nice and suprisingly mellow, straight out of the box. I purchased the guitar for my 5 year old son deciding after reading various reviews of other small guitars that a half size would be too small for him. Having seen how the 3/4 looks like a double bass on his knee i maybe should have gone with the 1/2 size, but it will be around for a while, and i'm assuming he's not ging to get any smaller, so it's there for fun now, and more serious playing in a year or two, which was really always the intention anyway. All in all a very nice guitar and well worth the money, however if you're buying a guitar for a 4-6 year old child learning reasonably seriously i'd consider a half size first.

My son fell in love with this guitar. This is his first guitar and seems to be very good quality - as mentioned by his teacher.

Doesn't hold it's tuning, keeps slipping at every moment. Don't bother. Vibrations on the threatboard everywhere. Cheap feel. Get a yamaha.
