Stage Costume is an invaluable guide for wardrobe mistresses for amateaur drama groups. I have used it on countless occasions to create simple but affective costumes for plays, musicals and pantomimes. The book illustrates how to create a variety of garments from 4 or 5 basic shapes. The later chapters then concentrate on how to customise the basic shapes for your requirements. A good value book and a must for all amateaur costumiers.

Costume books are hard enough to come by and good costume books are like gold dust!This is gold dust. I found it very useful both as an historical author and amateur costumiere. I'm certianly never short of a fancy dress costume now... Thank you Ms Kidd!
