Ergosoft coloured pencils are slim coloured pencils that are suitable for all age groups. They have a unique, non-slip surface, which has a ‘soft’ feel for the user.
The pencils have perfect ergonomics thanks to the triangular shape which is really comfortable to hold in the hand. They come supplied in the practical and stylish stand-up Staedtler box. With the Staedtler box you simply open, stand it up and start writing. The unique Staedtler box is so practical and just as ecologically efficient: Without the need for additional external packaging, it serves as a practical storage box and clever pencil holder at the same time.
The box includes 24 brilliant assorted colours. The lead is soft and break-resistant and has a diameter of 3mm. There is a ‘name box’ on each pencil so the owner can add their name for easy identification. The pencils are easy to sharpen with any quality sharpener. These pencils have the Staedtler ‘ABS feature’. Especially with children, coloured pencils have to be able to stand up to a lot of punishment: The unique Anti-Break-System (ABS for short) increases their service life. Because the richly coloured, high-quality lead core in our coloured pencils with ABS is surrounded by a unique white protective coating. It is so hard and resistant that the break-resistance of the coloured lead is increased by up to 50%, making the pencil up to 30% stronger.

Staedtler Colouring Pencils have soft leads which provide brilliantly intense colouring results on paper. They are also easy to sharpen with any quality sharpener and all conform to EN 71 series (Safety of Toys standards), so you can have peace of mind when your kids use these pencils. I am a geology masters student and with mapping and cross-sections colouring can be vital to my degree coursework. I've found these colouring pencils to be excellent, the pencil leads have never broken and they colour smoothly and evenly. The triangular shape and rubber coating also makes them very comfortable to use, even when using them over a period of several hours. The case is one of the best features as allows the pencils to stand up, which makes it much easier to swap colours when using them, but also protects them during transport. I keep mine in my bag daily and have travelled with them all over Europe on field trips, but they have never broken.

Bought these coloured pencils for my daughter for secondary school. She says they're the best coloured pencils she's ever used and she's been drawing since she was 3 and now she's 11. Great colours, nice colouring effect and they don't break when you sharpen them...which unfortunately we've found with other makes. Highly recommend.

I love these.
I studied Art and Design for my degree, and work as a goldsmith; I do a lot of sketching and designing. I always used to use Derwent pencils, but I came across these a while ago and wouldn't use anything else now. The colours are gorgeous; you can shade from barely-there light to fully saturated; the coverage is great, they feel fantastic in the hand and on the paper; value for money is amazing and I really wouldn't swap to anything else.
And yes, the odd white layer round the coloured core really does seem to stop lead-breakages. Can't recommend them strongly enough (and the watercolour pencils are just as good, by the way.)

I didn't buy the 24 pack, I bought a smaller pack from tescos for just £1.50, bargain!
