Anyway while the pens are lovely to use, nibs are fine enough for detailed work, and the zippy case is fun, in my experience the ink seems to fade _really_ fast in sunlight (indoors). So all will be fine if your work is in a closed notebook, but if your masterpiece goes on the wall or is just left on the kitchen table for a couple of days, it seems to practically disappear before your eyes!
As these seem like semi-professional pens and it is a good brand, I am surprised the ink is not more light stable.
Apart from that, they are a good product, so if this won't matter to you, then I would recommend them.
These aren't the ordinary broad-nibbed felt-tipped pens - rather, they are the ultra-fine metal pointed pens with a tiny bit of felt that are usually used for writing and drawing fine lines. They're really good for line drawing, and detail. They can also survive for a day or two without the lids on, which is great news for an absent-minded person like myself.
The soft case that comes with it is very nice too - its a strip with a zip on both sides that forms a pen-case shape when you do the zip up all the way; a very good quality, tough item.
One last word about the packaging the pans arrive in - when I opened the envelope, I saw the dreaded heat-sealed thick transparent plastic that normally means I have to go to the kitchen and get the big scissors out to cut it all open, but to my relief there was a perforated pull-strip on the back which opens it all up - I wish more companies would use this idea.
The pens don't tumble out, either, as they are all attached to a transparent strip of plastic which keeps them all in place until you put them in the bag.
Edit 28/05/10: They don't cope very well with being used on CDRs. Something to do with the plasticky surface, I think - the ink stops flowing and only recovers when the pen is reintroduced to good old normal paper.
The quality of the pens is adequate for most uses and the variety of colours is wide enough for most uses. I can see these as being very attractive to schoolchildren and young students - but I'm keeping these for myself!
The pencil case would not have been my first choice of container, although it does do the job of keeping these together, clean and tidy! I was amazed at the spiral zip and have never seen a zip like this before - again I can imagine this being fascinating to children, although maybe a bit fragile for "vigorous" use?
Given the price I am very impressed with this package and it's much higher quality than I would have expected!
