??????? 24 Dec 2009
Format:Paperback
This book is OK, not what I was expecting, its written for kids who have just received their first pony and want to know how to look after it. I was expecting a little more but its fine as a starting point. Its thinner than I was expecting too, keep a look out as you may find it for sale again in the used section.

No answers, more questions. 7 May 2000
By Michelle Beebe Sowers - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I did not read the description of the book closely enough. I failed to see that it was only 24 pages. I also wasn't aware that it was originally printed in Great Britain. I found this book overly simplistic and also much of the terminology unfamiliar. Building supplies that are commonplace in Great Britain are not necessarily so in the U.S. This book did not answer a single question that I have about housing a horse or pony. The author states that concrete is an optional stable floor and every other book I've read states that concrete is not an acceptable flooring option. When presenting chalk as a well-draining surface over a clay shed floor the author fails to state how much chalk a person should use, not to mention I have no idea if chalk is available here. Is it the same as lime? I have no idea. For me, this book presented more questions and no answers.
