Review

The 'Stable Stereotypes' cartoons were a popular part of Horse & Hound for several years. Are you a Tetrathlon Dad, the Involuntary Volunteer, the Hunt Ball Organiser, the First-Time Dressage Writer or the Riding Holiday Fanatic? Each one hits home - even if you won't admit to recognising yourself. Each one will make you laugh and the spot-on illustrations are a delight. It's not just the humans either - do you own a Jekyll and Hyde Show Pony, a Seasoned Hunter or a Top Rider's Terrier? A perfect stocking-filler for any member of the family --Horse & Hound

On reading a collection of stories such as this I am inclined to the view that we should all send a copy to at least one person who fits at least one character to a 'T'. The gift should be on the condition that the recipient acknowledges the story with which he or she identifies. It doesn't of course have to be the story you identify but the result would be amusing. You might lose a friend of course, but if you cannot laugh at yourself you are the poorer for it. A delightful read and 'Oh so true --Equi-Ads

A perfect stocking filler that will being a smile to your face, based on the Horse and Hound Stable Stereotypes series and featuring many of the equi personalities we all regularly encounter. With well observed illustrations by Dianne Breeze and over eighty characters brought to life with clever and humourous text you are more than likely to recognise 'someone --South East Rider

As someone who has spent all their life around the horse world this book is a real treat. It was easy to recognise someone we know in all of the Equestrian Eccentrics featured. An excellent present for any "horsey" friend.

Just what I was looking for. Less stress involved and I was loooking for a particular thing but would never have been able to find this anywhere locally as it would not have been a popular item so wouldn't be stocked.
