I bought one of these to try as I have arthritis and find writing quite painful at times. I have since bought several more as they are the best pens I have found. They are advertised as being for children from age 12 but I would certainly recommend them to anybody with limited dexterity. Do make sure you buy right or left handed as the grip differs. There is a similar pen which is curved but it does not have a retractable nib and when I tried it I kept losing the cap!
Lovely pen, I have arthritis so writing is painful and difficult to hold an ordinary pen, I found this whilst searching for aids to help, it writes lovely, I like the fact that it is like a ball-point pen so easy to keep in handbag.
I bought this and one other Stabilo pen for my daughter as her handwriting was a little untidy, proberbly because she was'nt holding her pens properly. This pen is shaped in a way that naturally teaches the child to hold a pen properly.
After just a few days my daughter's handwriting had improved a lot and now she can hold normal pens in the right manner.
A super writing aid for children and adults alike; this one is for right handed people but Stabilo do make a left handed one also.
I bought this pen and also the purple version ahead of using it for revision notes and an upcoming exam. Read the reviews and hoped it might give me a much needed assistance. The shape and grip is very good. But having used both for several hours in the last two days - I am rather disappointed. The nib itself is very scratchy and the flow of ink poor. I find myself having to write far more slowly to avoid the ink flow spluttering onto the next sentence. I had hoped this would be the answer to a 3 hour exam - but am now researching other gel based pens instead. I would recommend for anyone trying to improve their handwriting, but not if you need a comfortable and reliable pen under time pressure.
