This book, although it at first may seem a little expensive for its size,is fabulous. Many of the earlier books written about St Kilda do have photographs, but not in the depth or variety of subjects that this book has. This book, does lack textural information, however there are more than enough books on the market to provide the enthusiast with reading material...what is lacking on the market are photographs and this book is perfect. It includes all of the more commonly seen images of the village, etc and then offers up more unique insights. Not a book for someone who has never read another St Kilda book, but definatley a companion to any of the other books written on the subject.
A fantastic book and printed on really good quality paper....just a shame its not 100% recycled.
