This comprehensive introduction provides a background to the artists themselves and the evolution of the artists' colony at St Ives, as well as examining the art scene in Cornwall today. I saw this at the Hepworth Wakefield for a higher cost and think it's a great little companion when thinking about the Art of St Ives. It gives just enough information and has just enough illustrations to make it a cute little gift for my father who recently moved to Cornwall and who is an art lover.
