3.0 out of 5 stars good concept but a bit frustrating 15 Sep 2011
Durability: 3.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 2.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
my son is almost 3 and he's very much into painting. I bought these colours as they seem a good solution to avoid general mess. In this, they fulfill their goal: you don't need additional brushes nor water, and the paint comes easily away from clothes and skin. However the experience is a bit frustrating for a baby painter, as the brush is made in plastic (not very flexible). The result is that the baby squeezes out the paint in a stain and tries to spread it, generating a semitransparent line, without any control on the result.

Maybe better sponges instead of the plastic brush.

The colours are great but the brush is broad and plastic so is only good for smears. My daughter just wanted to squeeze the paint out and can be fiddly to squeeze and paint at the same time. In future I will get pots or bottles of paint as we ended up squeezing the paint into pots and using a regular brush!

This was not as good as I expected it was a little on the messy side, maybe older children would be able to manage them better

4.0 out of 5 stars little hands painting 15 Dec 2010
Durability: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
My little (20 months old) girl loves this. It's not for precise painting, but the shape of the brushes is perfect for her little hands. I help her a little bit with the squeezing, but for older kids (3+) that shouldn't be a problem either. It is also great that you can refill them. The brush is plastic though, al softer brush would make them even more perfect.

4.0 out of 5 stars (slightly) less messy painting for kids 19 April 2010
By Karen
Durability: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 4.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Less mess than real paints but they can still make a mess.
My 3 year old squeezes loads of paint out & then if he flicks the brush it can go everywhere - though not as much as normal paints.
Apparently they are refillable. They need to be, as two kids will use them up fast enough!
The colours are good & the kids like them. Easy to squeeze.
The brush on the end is only good for broad smears, but as I bought them for a young child anyway this is fine.

easy to hold.my disabled daughters found this fun (without too much mess). paint better quality than i thought it would be and easily covered a variety of surfaces, did get on clothes but came out easily in a 40* wash.they seem to last a long time and the colours are exactly as on bottle.

1.0 out of 5 stars Name is misleading 11 Mar 2012
By Liss01
Durability: 1.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
A real disappointment. I would not recommend these, there are far better easy painters on the market. Not much paint in each, very hard for little people to use and where is the brush?!? The 'brush' is actually plastic bristles and do not sweep cleanly across the page. Used once but were discarded very quickly by my daughter. Had to keep shaking the paint down, squeeze quite hard to get anything out and then at the same time try to paint - not easy for us let alone a small child. Not much I can say really. Very poor design and certainly not worth the money.
