This game is worth playing but could have been a great deal better. The story, atmosphere and character voice acting is excellent and the premise that you are investigating your own murder is intriguing. The central characters are interesting and well developed for a video game and some of the skills such as possession and teleporting have a lot of potential. The graphics are atmospheric and walking through (some) walls and doors helps this although it is frustrating when you come across an area you cannot pass despite the story trying to explain this.
The are a few issues however, The game is short with a large proportion spent watching cut scenes. There are a number of side missions as well but there seemed little incentive to complete them as there was no reward other than finding out why a deceased character was upset. Many of the living and dead characters offer no value other than repeating two stock phrases and the challenge there is identifying the ones required to progress the story and ignoring the rest. Then there are the demon encounters meant to inject danger and tension into the quest but instead swiftly get repetitive and annoying.
I am very frustrated with this game as it is one of the few original concepts I have come across and any game where you are able to possess a cat should be supported. Although I wanted to find the killer it was frustrating at times and when completed I see little incentive to return.
