i first read this book many years ago i served in the R.A.F. and found the book very true to life. It is still as fresh today as it was when it first released.

Excellent Reader 29 Mar 2006
By A. K Markovich - Published on Amazon.com
In my experience with audio books, I found that the reader makes the book and Squadron Airborne is no exception. The reader for this book (I cannot recall his name and I do not see it on the posting) does a very good job of separating the characters within the dialogue. This does two things: brings the characters to life and facilitates the listener's indentifying the persons within the story. The story itself is average, but the reader really brings out the diverse characters in the book.
