Great Gift,

I bought this as a gift for one of my Son's friends for their birthday. He seemed to love it - in fact the birthday boy and my son spend ages playing with it, working out another spy trick to play on Mummy!! A great gift, and a fun book for any young child.

I bought this for my eight year old son for Christmas. He loves it - it is crammed full of codes, spy techniques etc. A book like this can really become part of a child's imaginative world and provide hours of happy play. You don't often get a bunch of eight year old boys fighting over a book but it could happen with this one. I am just buying a copy for my son's friend.

An indispensible item for undercover operatives.,

MI6 still hands these books out to field agents working deep cover missions on foreign soil, and there's a reason why. King's decades of experience as a both an active agent and head of counterintelligence at MI5, MI6 and MI7X show through in this manual's concise, detailed, but practical approach to tactical and strategic government espionage. In my years as an intelligence asset this book has saved my life - and Western freedom and democracy - countless times. From the time I had to write a secret note to a source in East Germany in the mid eighties with lemon juice "invisible ink", to the advanced "A=1, B=2" encryption methods that encoded a warning to avert a major terror attack on all the world's post boxes, to its use as a guidebook on how to set fiendishly clever traps to tell if an enemy agent has tampered with your files (taping a hair across the seam of the sock drawer where I keep my secret files enables me to sleep with both eyes closed at least 2 nights a month) - this book is indispensible. Whenever I have needed help in the field, this book has been there. In Berlin, Kamchatka, the Persian Gulf - it was and is my only true, trusted friend. It only misses the full five stars because the section on selecting huge-collared trenchcoats and cutting eyeholes in newspapers is still a little brief, despite pleas from agents in the field to update this crucial information. But this is a slight mark on an absolute classic that has saved millions of lives, and will continue to do so for years to come.
