Bought this for our 8 year old daughter whose current future career ambition is to be a spy! After Daddy studied it he thinks it would be better for an older child 10+ but she's giving it a good go anyway.

This set is an excellent value for money. It has ideas and gadgets necessary for the code making and breaking. Superb gift for a boy (mine is 11 and he absolutely loves it). It will make your child read (value in its own right) and think as well. Highly recommended!
