4.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to follow 25 Oct 2013
Format:Sheet music|Verified Purchase
I am a fan of the songs of the 'Boss' and do enjoy playing this selection: although some of my favourites (Darkness On The Edge of Town notably) missing.

My own less than 100% ability to follow notation is revealed by the way this book is produced, so beware those who are vague on DSs and DSSs as there is much turning back and searching for the right section to return to / go to / carry on to. I know the fault is in my ability to read the instructions but I must issue this warning to the half decent players out there.

As I say in another review you can tell when songs are written by guitarists (and drummers) as the bass lines are mundane: Bruce's stuff is largely in that category, but I still enjoy the playing if these tunes and seeking to emulate (prof) Roy Bittan and Danny Federicci. Not as difficult as you may think!

4.0 out of 5 stars Piano Men 5 April 2000

Four stars for there is no perfect book, I think that this a must for Springsteen fans who play the Piano. It also has lyrics which is good if you want to impress friends by playing and singing at the Piano, 'Cause nobody listens to the Piano nowadays. But Bruce is a Rock Legend who makes the Piano Rock! Get it, it's cheaper and {says I} more complete. It's great when you play alone and maybe better when you play with your band. Great for beginners {me} Features my favourite Bruce Springsteen song Thunder Road, The Oscar Winning Streets of Philadelphia, Glory Days, Badlands and more. Have fun, the Piano never dies!
5.0 out of 5 stars if you love the Boss, buy this 9 Dec 2013

I love this musician. He is a great singer and songwriter. I don't need to say any more but the rating system says I have to. Kind of stupid to annoy people who are trying to help you amazon.
