I live in USA, so why would I spend extra money of shipping to buy clothes overseas in the UK? Because these clothes are far superior than what is offered in the UK. I'm a mother of a 3 year old and a 14 month old. I have to buy high quality waterproof clothes for my kids because come rain or snow, no matter how harsh the wintry weather in NY, I have to get my son to preschool everyday on time. I can't use an umbrella because with high winds, the umbrella will blow away. I need to use one hand to hold my son's hand as we cross the street to avoid him getting hit by a car and the other hand I use to carry my 14 month old. So I don't have an extra hand to hold an umbrella. My son is too young to be able to hold his own umbrella. The high winds will just blow the umbrella out of his hands. So, I need high quality hooded waterproof protection for my kids. I can't use a waterproof stroller bc the walk to the preschool is unfriendly to strollers. No ramps, only stairs. There are days of heavy downpour and I need to protect my kids. I looked into other top brands like Patagonia, Northface, Columbia Sportswear, etc. but none of these American brands offer the HIGH ULTRA waterPROOF level of 10,000mm protection. Northface offers Goretex, however, they don't offer small sizes for infants/toddlers. The other brands offer only water-resistant but not waterPROOF clothing. The past week has been awful weather and all the clothes have stood up to the challenge BEAUTIFULLY! I "laughed" inside seeing the other parents bring their preschoolers wet to the front door...and also struggled with tugging umbrellas in the high wind. You need high quality waterproof gear, folks! =) The adjustable hood covers the chin well and makes a nice tight seal to keep their hair/face border dry. I like the brim/peak on the hood which also provides good dry protection. I love the adjustable velcro arm sleeve cuffs and pant cuffs as well. And they are CUTE and FASHIONABLE too! =) Waterproof mittens also provide the 10,000mm waterproof protection. I searched high and low for waterproof mittens for infants offering this high level of ultra waterproof protection. None are available. If you want high ultra dry protection from the water for your young kids best to go with Spotty Otter! =)

My son says it is the best jacket he has ever had and i tend to agree. It is very well made, with quality materials, keeps him warm and dry and looks very good on a small child. Spotty Otter had this completely right.
