Book Description

Part of the Immortal Cravings series. What happens when a werewolf and a dryad meet in the forest at night? For Cooper and Kyla, the result is smoldering-hot passion beyond anything they’ve ever known.Even though there’s no real future for a botany professor and a nymph who lives in a tree, Coop keeps returning, night after night, for the steamiest sex of his life. When their fiery passion turns to love, it seems hopeless, unless a determined Kyla can find a way to keep her man.

Hmmm...a werewolf, who is a professor of botany, is in the woods one day, about to pee against a tree when the latter speaks with him, revealing herself to be a tree nymph.

He actually admits that he thinks the tree is pretty, and then she appears in her human guise...and they get it on. Sensual rather than erotic, ok enough for a one-time read as a freebie, but not if I'd have paid for this (free currently via the publisher's website).

Werewolf meets nymph...
Meet Cooper, a professor who just happens to be a werewolf. He loves getting away to the nearby forest on the weekends. Enter Kyla a dryad living in an enchanted grove. Magical erotic romance with fun characters.

Keep in mind that this is a short erotic fantasy fluff read. 4* of 5*

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting. 14 Feb. 2011

A short little romance, it was very unexpected to me. I hadn't really expected the supernatural characters, especially of different sorts of species. Regardless, it was a decent read.

I can tell this writer has a sense of humor. All this, you find while Cooper is tripping over whether he's going insane. But he doesn't let it get him down.
He continues to visit the glen, so he can get it on with the nymph in the tree. And that's all fine and good. This book is not really smutty, compared to a lot of the NN's I have read. In fact, it's pretty tame then most. Yeah, Cooper goes back for more, over and over again. But at least there wasn't a detailed description of each and every time. In the second chapter, is where you'll find the story unfolding. And for a short read, I didn't expect much of a story. I didn't feel like this book was a gimmick to get me to buy more books, because when it was over, it was over. They do live happily ever after.
Though paranormal's, and immortals have been done to death, I still thought it was an okay read.

5.0 out of 5 stars I wood give it ten stars if I could! 2 Mar. 2011

Branch out and sink your teeth into this delightful romance featuring an alder tree and a werewolf! Rooted in mythology, the story will entwine you in its leafy (but never sappy) tendrils of erotic tension. Trust me, you will never look at a Douglass Fir the same way again. In fact, if you're faint of heart, you may never look at a tree again, period. However, for those of us carved from oak and mahogany and other strong stuff, this vignette will germinate in the soil of our souls and bloom into a verdant forest of enchantment.

Sporting Wood by Cindy Spencer Pape

What an interesting hookup, a werewolf and a tree nymph. There was lots of humor in this short story and some hot loving between Coop and Kyla. I enjoyed reading it. The thought that came to mind after I finished it was `a bird and fish could fall in love but where would the live'? Well if they were para-normals, anywhere they want.
