Being a massive fan of Formula 1, I always consider the years Grand Prix Guide to be the bible for the season ahead, so imagine my disappointment when I finally received my copy in the post.
Granted, on the whole, the book lives up to expectations I expected from it. With it's driver/team profiles, circuit guides, and summary of the previous seasons races, I would describe it as a 'must-have' for any Formula 1 fan.
What is unforgivable though, is the number of typing errors I found within it!!! Granted, in the past there has been the odd type-o in previous issues, but never as many as this. The McLaren profile page has Button ranked 4th and Hamilton 5th (in the previous season), when in fact it was Hamilton 4th and Button 5th. The Ferrari profile has Alonso inexplicably ranked as No. 1!!!, and perhaps most shockingly of all, there are no points totals given in the 2010 Drivers Championship Table (yet the Constructor Championship Table is complete)!!! Surely the writer could have taken a few minutes to look up these points totals online???
But for all its faults, I still find this an informative book, and will no doubt consult it regularly during the upcoming season.
One final point, and one that I hope the writer will take note of (doubtful I know). Bring back the lists of Grand Prix Records that they used to put in the back of the book, so that we can see how todays grand prix superstars compare to those of yesteryear!!!
