Book Description

6 Sep 2007 Spooks 1
The characters featured include Harry Pearce, Adam Carter, Ruth Evershed, Zafar Younis, Malcolm Wynn Jones, Ros Myers and Jo Portman from the current cast and the enduringly popular Tom Quinn, Zoe Reynolds and Danny Hunter from the original line-up.
The files contain all the information that the fans could wish for, ranging from how the characters were recruited into MI5 to operational de-briefings and psychological treatment they have received and training they have endured.
Each character is brought to life in a way that the programme itself is unable to do as the book explores, in minute detail, the events that have shaped their lives and the effect their professional lives have had on them personally.

4.0 out of 5 stars As addictive as the TV Series 20 Dec 2009
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The Spooks books have been cleverly written to "add flessh to the bones" and personality the characters that appear in the TV Series. It helps to understand them better and what moulded them into who they are and why they continue to fight for Queen & country. By the end you feel they are your friends. Love them

5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant surprise! 27 Sep 2006
Format:Paperback
One of the most annoying publishing cliches is "A must read for any fan of the TV series" but in the case of "Spooks": The Personnel Files" it's absolutely correct. Presented in the form of a series of letters, interviews, reports and profiles it presents a fascinating backrgound for the main characters from the first four series. So here we go (deep breath). A must read for any fan of the TV series!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book of its genre. 25 Oct 2006
Format:Paperback
I read this book on a boring rainy day and was surprised to find it highly entertaining - despite having never watched the TV series. The characters are developed well and the style of the narrative, with newspaper cuttings, CVs and minutes of meetings, is engrossing. It's turned me into a Spooks fan - I will definitely be watching Spooks from now on. Buy this book - it won't disappoint.
