This book is completely out of date. It still uses British Thermal Units when referring to boilers etc. If you work to the charging rates specified you'd be out of pocket. Stay well away from this book. Had I not been so busy I would have sent it back within the 30-day returns policy.

1.0 out of 5 stars SAVE YOUR MONEY 25 Feb 2008
Format:Paperback
I brought this book to help with the many quotes i have to deal with each week. Free up some me time, BUT NO. The book is a way off the scale for the the heating and plumbing industry. Copper prices and lead are no where near what the books est. Then their is the times it allows per job. Either the plumber who wrote this is really really REALLY good, or I will soon be going under after 10 yrs.

2.0 out of 5 stars A GUIDED START ONLY 21 Sep 2008
Format:Paperback
Dont rely too much on this book for pricing or heat ratings (who uses BTU's these days?).
It was used as part of full set of SPONS similar publications to price a job much bigger, but it was soon dropped.
It gave a reasonable start on how to set about pricing the work, the content we devised ourselves.
