Its always great to hear some new material from the Massive, to see where they're heading.

You can tell Daddy G is back in the action, the Massive are definitely better when its 3D, Daddy G and Horace Andy.
Splitting The Atom is the main track and its a slow grower, first listen sounds a bit basic, but it soon grows, getting in yer head, especially Horace Andys vocals and 3Ds background banter, all those layers that make classic Massive Attack tracks so special.

The other tracks on the EP are good, especially Pray For Rain and Psyche.

Glorious return to form after the pain (emotional for the artists and for me, listening) of 100th Window - astute choice of guest vocalists Horace, Tunde, Guy and Martina. Pray For Rain and Psyche my particular favourites.

Finally some new tracks from the amazing Massive Attack.

Splitting the Atom is MA at their best; Pray for Rain is a bit more off their usual track but still beautiful; Psyche is haunting and the real stand-out track for me, with Martina Topley-Bird doing a great job on vocals. The only disappointment was Bulletproof Love, which even on repeated listening is refusing to grow on me.

Sadly their new album contains these 4 tracks so in light of that you may be better waiting for Heligoland in February... unless you're a hardcore fan.
