Not durable for toddlers

This book as beautiful illustrations and a very nice story; however I was disapointed to find that many of "interactive" features are delicate flaps that a young child will rip apart in no time. Based on the description, I thought the interactive features were built-in patches of textures, like many of the board books we own. Some of the pages include texture patches, but others are thin tabs or flaps that you move. I think it is so silly when board books (intended for toddlers) have non-durable elements. I think these elements should be left for books for older children.
I bought this as part of a frog-themed baby shower gift, but I know it would not last long in the hands of my 22 month old son.

My 16 month old daughter LOVES this book! I've struggled to get her interested in books, and this is one of the first ones that she has been interested in. Highly recommend!

Fun Book for Little Kids

I love this book - it is fun and interactive - great colors - very artistic. I love that there are no batteries! Kids make the sounds of the animals you find along the river by flapping wings, snapping claws, and making the sounds of feet splashing. Very inventive use of materials.
You will love it as much as your kids. Great baby gift too.
