This is exactly as described: A rather brief instruction manual of the peculiarites of flying a Spitfire. Including emergency maneuvres. I found it a very interesting period document.

The sides of the manual were uncut, by the way, which seems a bit odd. While I've never seen the original, even at the time only newspapers would have uncut pages; for an instruction manual for a high tech and expensive piece of machinery it seems rather odd, even at war time.

This was a little disappointing even though it was stated it was a copy of the official War Office guide. Much is a bit boring and only offers occasional fresh insight into how WWII pilots were briefed on the aircraft they were to fly. But it is a collector's piece of history and maybe I am being just a bit too critical. It is not overpriced and can still be recommended, but not with great passion!
