Product Description

Product Description

Spirometry is the basic test of lung function and has proven to be an extremely useful tool for managing the Asthma or COPD patient. However, the test is of little importance if the user is unfamiliar with the technique and interpretation of the results. In this book, the theory and practical aspects are explored, together with an introduction to interpretation, all of this in a very easy to read and understand format. The book is aimed at ALL health care users from the ABSOLUTE BEGINNER to the more EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONER.

outstanding 5 July 2010
Format:Loose Leaf
Every once in a while you read an article or a book that transforms the way you approach a common Medical problem. This is such a book. The simple to understand rules for identifying obstruction are easy to understand and enable almost immediate interpretation of a flow volume loop purely through pattern recognition. The case histories are excellent and reinforce the points. There is a useful section outlinig the pitfalls in the technique which are very useful.Overall highly recommended-read this and spirometry will no longer cause you problems.

Concise, good book 16 Aug 2009

Format:Loose Leaf
This handbook may be very useful for practitioners willing to deal with office spirometry, who need a simple, easy to read, not expensive, neither time consuming book. Although quite skilled, I was able to find in this handbook some new and useful suggestions about the interpretation of spirometry. I recommend this book to every general practitioner.
