Product Description

Product Description

Spiritual First Aid is what we use to raise our energy levels, to balance our moods; allowing us to lick our wounds and pick up the pieces to carry on with tasks and responsibilities.

We all hope to heal our past to make way for a happier and healthier future, so as we re-learn and reclaim personal power, we encourage others to do the same. In this short book we'll explore our 'selves' – finding ways to love and care for the self.

Spiritual First Aid is a very natural way to self-empower; once we understand how our ‘self’ works we can begin to change the aspects of that self which no longer fit with our way of being or fails to serve us in a positive manner. Using simple techniques we can ‘rescue’ our ‘self’ before we damage it further.

Initially, it’s only a matter of commitment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Direct and reassuring 24 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This book has a direct, no nonsense approach to spiritual first aid. The author's philosophy is based on her belief in the importance of self empowerment. Rodgers communicates her message clearly and powerfully. This direct approach is balanced with some reflective and poetic parts but this is sensibly sandwiched between grounded and realistic advice for those seeking sound direction in self development.

4.0 out of 5 stars more than a band-aid 23 April 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a wise book by a wise woman. I read it thinking, "I know all this", and then the author seemed to reply, "yes but do you act as if you know it?" I've been lucky enough to spent time in California and so most of this is very familiar. However, the author is not an 'independantly wealthy' flake who lives in a teepee up Mt Shasta, ignoring the militarism and capitalism of the world in which we all (like it or not) participate actively. The author has her feet on the ground and knows the practical connections between personal anger and national aggression, between peace at home and peace abroad. I need to read this book again, and to keep reading it until I can answer the question of the author by saying, "yes!".
