Whereas other books tend to focus on the positive side of elementals, this books deals with the element in all its guises, including the more sinister spirits of murky stagnant water, the drawing allure of water to pull one down into its surface etc.
Although I'm not unfamiliar with the methods of creating and sustaining thoughtforms, the personal insights and thoughts of another on the subject has led to me being a bit more experimental in the process. There is also material on interacting with Water spirits, divination with Water, Water rituals and Water folk magic. Again, although one might already be au fait with the techniques, this is exactly the kind of material that prevents one from getting tired and staid in technique. With so many books being of a shallow & trite nature, it makes a pleasent change to read a book that thought has gone into. It is also a pleasure to read a book by someone who obviously knows what they are doing with magic and has considerable experience, something reflected on the more practical nature of her suggestions.
