Book Description

An offer to go to a Spiritualist church on a Friday night opened up a world Leah Crosby could only have dreamed of and head-first into a family that should have been dead long ago.
The un-dead, her cousins, are funeral directors and Leah is fascinated and drawn into their world and the Spiritualist Movement where her own powers are opened up and developed, unknowingly to them all, to help with the horror that faced them. A horror they actually wished for.
This book contains descriptions of scenes of an explicite nature which are suitable for adults only. The contents are not suitable for readers under the age of eighteen years of age.

Travelling the world and hunting out antiques has given Andrew Harding a broad insight into the unravelling of the human mind. His fascination with the paranormal and also the supernatural world has inspired him to cross boundaries and write this trilogy. The people who have crossed his path have covered such a broad spectrum that he's realised that there are no barriers to the depraviy that could be hidden beneath the surface.

About the Author

Andrew Harding worked in manufacturing all his life and seventeen years ago was diagnosed with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Although it was tough, he worked on for thirteen years and finally had to stop because he developed arthritis in his left hand. All through his life he wanted to write a book, and with time on his hands that first book grew into three, The Spirit Trilogy: Spirit, Force and Parity. Next, The Hybrid Series: Split Decision, Critical Moments, Devil's Dyke and Wet Daddy. Medium Rare has just been released. Although each book has a unique crime and can be read as stand-alone, the back-story in the series rolls from one book to the other where you'll see them breaking new ground in the Police Force as well as witnessing their totally outrageous lifestyle. Harding is writing a spin-off hybrid book, online. ahardingbooks.com. HWSNBN (He Who Shall Not Be Named) Ch1-17 posted and over 30K chapters were read each month in 2013. The characters in this book meet with those in Book 5, Medium Rare, as they need help with their first horrendous case. Medium Rare and HWSNBN are interlaced in places, although written from two different perspectives and a writers dream job. Harding's life-long fascination with Crime, the Paranormal and the Supernatural has given him a huge amalgam to dip into, and more importantly a new lease on life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spirit, mind blowing 25 Mar. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was one I just come by on Amazon, so I had a read of the first few pages. The writing technique gripped me and made me want to read more. The basis of the book is a subject I have heard of before but never followed, but after reading this book I feel more pull towards the Spiritualist aspect of our world through reading this book. There are so many aspects discussed and it makes for more intense and interesting reading.
Andrew is a fantastic writer. He brings the characters to life in your own imagination and keeps the reader gripped at all times. The characters are people who would normally be looked at in a negative way, along with the job they do. Andrew has flipped this so that the characters show compassion where not expected, and love when you wouldn't believe it possible. There are many plots twists with the characters to build suspense and I loved this.
The way the characters are written is amazing and made me feel a number of different emotions when reading this novel.
I am more than looking forward to the release of the sequel to see what the characters get up to next!

5.0 out of 5 stars Concepts thrown out the window 9 Oct. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Growing up with a set concept in my mind of what vampires are portrayed to be, in films, tv or the written word, I was astonished to read Andrew Harding's take and description. I had to relearn, throw all the old concepts out the window and accept the characters as Andrew Harding so successfully described them and brought them to 'live' on every page of this book. The vampires he deals with in this story are considerably more 'human' than most of the humans we deal with and a lot more dependable. This book presents a fresh look at the 'spiritualist genre' with a bit of occult thrown in, without ever being unbelievable. The characters are living entities with their very strong feelings, empathy and deserve your sympathy and attention. Go on, get the book, now! (and you won't be able to resist the other two in the trilogy, FORCE and PARITY. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this book! 27 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I have recently finished the first book, which I got for free before I even had a Kindle (got it to check in the Ipad app), and probably downloaded it because of the spiritualist theme (I'm a Spiritist myself, who's read all Kardec's main books and I'm always reading Brazilian Spiritist books).

When I already had a kindle I decided to give this book a try and, since I did not even remember the synopsis, I was totally surprised by what happens in the story and I was always eager to read more and more to find out what would happen to Leah and her friends.

Andrew Harding has an amazing writing style, and his characters are so full of life they feel like people I know. His first person narrator, Leah, has very witty remarks about everything and is very well portrayed.

I definitely recommend you give this book a try. You will not be able to stop reading it, and will want to finish this trilogy. It deals with many spiritualist themes, psychic powers and the supernatural in general, but it also portrays many great moral values (family x self, for instance).

I hope this humble review can help more people decide to read this book. It's kind of hard to review without spoiling anything, so that's the best I could do, :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Spirit: The Triliogy 29 Oct. 2013
By Tyza
Format:Kindle Edition
Having read The Hybrid Series, I was expecting The Trilogy to be of a similar context. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this series is much gentler and more emotive. It's easy to be empathic to characters that we would ordinarily view as monsters. The story takes us on a journey of self discovery by challenging our perceptions of good and evil and its easy to forget that the family is a clan of vampires.
