What a great little book! It goes far beyond the usual interior design and focuses on what we really want and need from our bedrooms.

The sections on the importance of natural materials and space clearing are excellent but it is the Feng Shui chapter which I loved the most. This is Feng Shui stripped of the mystique and compasses, instead we have simple diagrams and explanations that anyone can understand and more importantly, apply.

If you want to make any changes to the room where you sleep - read this first!

I'm not. I was surprised when I read through it. No inkling of its New Ageyness. Blessings, rituals, guardian angels, consecration and moonlit water.
Not my thing, and nothing in here (apart from the new age stuff) that I haven't read in other decorating books.

_Spirit of the Bedroom_ introduced me to this author's series and I now have all of them. I leave them on the bedside table in our guestroom and houseguests comment on their photos and philosophy and easy-reading. I, personally, find them inspiring and make the daily task of removing clutter and "things" feel more like a positive uplift than a drudge job.

I have read other books on fung Shui and I like that this gives actual cleansing instructions and of coarse focuses on the bedroom this is where I spend all my time. I'm looking forward to reading the rate of the books that go along with this one.
