4.0 out of 5 stars Take a closer look at what you are doing with your life, 3 May 2004
By
Peter D Armitage (Givrins, Switzerland) - See all my reviews
Be ready for a head-on challenge to address a simple but profound question - What kind of person do you want to be? The author offers examples and throws down gauntlets to force a realistic self assessment of whatever it is you are doing with your life. You are taken on a journey to core values, there are no trite answers and no quick fixes but there is an experienced, guiding hand along the way. This book hasn't been handed on and it isn't in the cellar along with many others. It stays on my bedside table because I keep wanting to go back to the words of the Native American Elder, to those of numerous other characters that appear and not least to the words of the author himself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Give yourself a lifetime gift - buy this book !, 21 April 2004
By
David Clayton (Glasgow, Scotland) - See all my reviews
If you only ever read one book about getting your act together in work and life, then this it it. Norman Drummond's book is full of timeless wisdom which will help you achieve your potential and live to your true self.

It starts by inviting you to give yourself the best self appraisal you will ever conduct. It then leads you through how you leave behind the baggage that is getting in the way of you achieving your full potential. Drawing on examples and anecdotes, the book sets out in an easy to read style, numerous practical techniques you can use to get the most out of work and life by living to your true self. It ends by drawing on the inspiration of Nelson Mandela and uses the Mandela story to guide you into achieving your full potential.

This is a gem of a book , and in time I'm convinced it will be a classic and a best seller. I'm lucky to have read it so soon after it was published - why wait - give yourself a gift that will last a lifetime, buy it and find out for yourself.
